As a dedicated 2029 LHP out of Hamilton Southeastern High School, I am committed to doing whatever it takes to continue developing as a player, teammate, and person. I believe in working hard, being coachable, supporting my teammates, and consistently putting in the work to improve. My goal is to become the best player and teammate I can be while helping my team compete and win at the highest level possible.

Nathan Clayton was named an "IMPACT UNDERCLASSMAN" following his performance at the Indy Summer ID showcase.
+ LHP Nathan Clayton, 2029, Hamilton Southeastern: I was impressed at my first look at the young southpaw out of HSE as he immediately established himself with some of the best left-handed arm talent I've seen in this class. It is a lean, athletic, 6-foot, 150-pound frame with room to mature, and he showed a longer, full arm action that should help him continue to see velocity gains as he adds strength. He worked 83-84.5 on a 4S fastball though the arm action he showed was more conducive to his low-80s sinking fastball. His sinker came from a 5'2 release that matched exact to a bullet slider he threw at 72-74, and near the mid-70s change he showed that was also a quality offering. He got to a higher slot on his fastball and was also able to manipulate a more-two plane CB from a higher slot. Regardless, I like the way the arm works, the upside in the frame, and the ability to manipulate the baseball for multiple shapes.
